What is ELEVATED:

ELEVATED is a music-led journaling and connection event that blends elements of nightlife, reflection, and community in a structured but social format.

The experience combines a live DJ set, guided journaling prompts, and open social time. Music provides the energetic container for the experience, allowing people to relax, reflect, and connect naturally.

Unlike traditional wellness events, ELEVATED is designed to feel alive, social, and rooted in music culture, not quiet or ceremonial.

The DJ is therefore a collaborator in the experience, not simply entertainment.

Event Format (Typical Flow)

Total event length: about 2 hours

Example timing: 6:00–8:00 PM

6:00 — Doors Open

Arrival, social time, DJ warm-up set

6:30 — Guided Experience

Facilitated journaling and reflection supported by music

(approximately 45–60 minutes)

7:15–7:30 — Transition

Shift from guided reflection into open connection

7:30–8:00 — DJ Closing Set + Social Time

Guests connect and unwind while the DJ records a 30–45 minute set for SoundCloud

The venue provides:

  • DJ setup with speakers, requiring power + space for a booth/setup

  • Seats for attendees

  • Ambient lighting preferred

  • Space for Mikala to move through the room during the event

  • Existing audience, opening them up to a new experience

ELEVATED brings:

  • An audience spanning 3 communities + the DJ: @experience_elevated, @beingmissmikala + @TrueNorthArtistry 

  • Every session is posted to SoundCloud

  • A repeat, reliable experience vs. a one-off event

  • An audience that is already in their demographic: 21+, wellness-adjacent, cannabis-normalized

Where I See ELEVATED Going:

My intention is to host ELEVATED every 6–8 weeks while building it thoughtfully over time.

Longer term possibilities include:

• collaborating with local/regional DJs aligned with the format and experience

• building a SoundCloud archive of recorded sets

• pop-up events in other cities + festivals

The goal is to create a bridge between wellness culture and nightlife culture that feels authentic to both.
